About T. Mark McConnell

Since first completing university, Mark has felt a strong calling to teach. After four years of teaching law in Scotland, during which time he completed an MEd through the University of Aberdeen, he attended Regent College and graduated with an MDiv in 1997. God then led him into pastoral ministry, at first back in his native Scotland and then in Vancouver, Canada. During this experience he became increasingly convinced of the primacy of the missional mandate of the church and also the need for God’s own people to hear, and live out, the Gospel on an ongoing basis. In 2008, Mark resigned his pastoral role in Vancouver to concentrate on his PhD, through the London School of Theology, on missional theology and speech-act theory. Mark is married to Ruth and they have two daughters.
