Practicing Faith: Theology and Social Vocation in Conversation

We invite you to join us for the launch of the book Practicing Faith: Theology and Social Vocation in Conversation on Tuesday 26 July at the Henderson campus.

The book is a collection of essays from leading New Zealand and international theologians and practitioners in which the authors engage with the relationship between faith and practice. Each essay is designed to reflect and invite dialogue on the integration of theology and social vocation within one of five themes: wellbeing, formation, hospitality, therapy, and theology.

“Beautifully written, this collection of essays and responses embodies the integration of theology with social vocations. Returning again and again to the importance of relationships – within God, with God, and with one another – these scholars ground their integrative aspirations in these dynamisms. These essays are refreshingly personal, intellectually rich, and spaciously dialogical. Practicing Faith is a fabulous read for those wondering about the merits of integration as well as how to do this well.”

- Christa McKirland, Lecturer in Systematic Theology, Carey Baptist College

Please join us for speeches and light refreshments.
Copies of the book will be available on the night for $25 (cash or EFTPOS).
