Supporting Youth and Families in the Church Community
– Counselling Workshop

Whether in family, church or wider communities, relationships are the critical place where we experience, and share, God’s love for humanity.

The faculty of Laidlaw’s Counselling programme invite you to a morning of workshops on Saturday 6 May which will give you a variety of resources to support your work in church or community contexts, with a particular focus on children and families. The workshops will be practical and interactive, and are aimed at youth leaders, 24/7 youth workers, children’s and families workers, and pastoral care teams.

Topics covered:

  • Developmental differences between children, teenagers and adults
  • Making sense of frustration and aggression in young people
  • Tree of Life – a strength building approach for anyone working with children and adolescents
