Counselling Workshops 2022
Communication and Community: essential skills for healthy connection and communication

Learn more about healthy connection and communication at Laidlaw’s Counselling Workshops on Saturday 28 May.

As we embark on a journey of healing and restoration after long periods of stress and isolation, it’s important to grow in our understanding of how we can connect and communicate with others in healthy ways. If you are a youth worker, community worker, involved in pastoral care, or intending to work in these areas, or simply interested in your own development in this area, then this could be the workshop for you!

WORKSHOP THEME
Whether in family, church, the workplace, or in our wider communities, the ways in which we communicate with others set the trajectory for our relationships. When we communicate and connect well, our relationships can be a place of joy, safety, growth and healing. On the flip side, when we communicate in unhelpful ways due to a lack of awareness or when we fail to set appropriate boundaries, we may end up hurting others and/or ourselves.

The morning’s four workshops will focus on the areas of empathy, emotion, listening well, and boundaries.
