The Book of Psalms

Lecturer: Dr Richard Neville

In this series of lectures we will explore key forms and features of Hebrew poetry.  We will also investigate the more important theological ideas in the book of Psalms, and attempt to understand some of its unfamiliar modes of expression.  Finally, we will read selected psalms in their entirety.  As a result participants will become more familiar with the forms and thought-world of the book of Psalms, and will have the opportunity to enhance their skills as readers of this marvellous book.

During each evening there will be time for discussion and also for personal reflection.
