You are warmly invited to a free Public Lecture with Professor David Gushee on The role of Christian Witness in Public Life, at Laidlaw's Christchurch campus on Wednesday 29 July.
Explicitly faith-based voices in a post-Christendom public square have a new kind of challenge in justifying our right to speak and contribution in speaking. Professor Gushee will discuss the particular moment we findourselves in and talk about ways Christian engagement in the public square can be effective and appropriate (and not appropriate), based on his own experiences and reflection.
We hope you will be able to join us as we engage with this important and challenging topic. There is no need to RSVP - just come along!
|When||7:30pm - 9:00pm|
|Cost||FREE & open to the public|
