Bridging the gap between New Zealand and PNG
Laidlaw College has had a long history of partnership and involvement with the Christian Leaders’ Training College (CLTC) in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.
From 25 August to 1 September, Rod Thompson spent time at CLTC joining with faculty, staff and students for the week. During that week, the CLTC Council met and also the College held a Day of Thanksgiving at which Rod was able to preach from 2 Samuel 9.
The highlight of the time at CLTC was the renewing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two Colleges. Rod and CLTC Principal William Longgar signed the MOU securing the historical partnership between Laidlaw and CLTC for another 5 years.
Both Colleges are committed to evangelical tertiary education of the highest quality. CLTC functions in a very challenging context in PNG’s highlands. Please pray for the College, its faculty, staff and students, as they seek to give leadership in biblical, gospel shaped education for PNG, Melanesia and the world.
