Meet our new Manukau Learning Support Centre Kaiako (Tutors)!

We are incredibly privileged to have four highly-qualified, deeply-passionate, dedicated and motivated tutors on board at our new Manukau campus, and it is our pleasure to introduce them to you.

They are: Greg Liston, who will be teaching Christian Belief, Naylor Owen, who will be teaching New Testament Introduction and involved in student support, Val Goold, who will be teaching Christian Discipleship and Biblical Theology and also involved in student support and Terry Pouono, who will be teaching Story of the Bible.

Greg, Naylor, Val and Terry all share our vision for bringing evangelical, biblical and theological education to South Auckland and equipping God’s people for ministry and mission, influence and leadership.

We are thrilled to be partnering with these four, and know that our students are in great hands.

Val has been a member of Laidlaw’s National Governing Council since 2001 and is a former graduate. She is of Rangitane O Wairau descent and has taught at Macleans College in Auckland as well as leading the Student Ministries for Tertiary Students Christian Fellowship for a number of years. She has a Masters in adult education.

Greg is an associate pastor at Mt Albert Baptist Church and formerly pastored Hillsborough Baptist. He has two PhDs: one in Physics and the other in Theology. Greg is married and has two children.

Naylor graduated from Laidlaw with a Bachelor in Theology in 2012 and has nearly completed his Masters in Theology. He is married with two children.

Terry is a New Zealand born Samoan, and the father of a young family of four children. He has been a lecturer in Theology at Malua Theological College in Samoa and is currently pursuing a PhD in Theology at the University of Auckland. He is an ordained Minister of the Congregational Christian Church Samoa.
