Bachelor of Theology Introduces Cohorts

Laidlaw's School of Theology is excited to be launching specialised Cohorts in 2022 for the Bachelor of Theology! From 2022 students will have the option of specialising in an area of study within our Bachelor of Theology that fits their academic and vocational goals.

A key part of the specialisations is forming cohorts of students who will learn and grow together through their studies. Cohort students will have additional formation during their programme of study, including further time with faculty and guests, collective orientation and end of year gatherings, as well as combined dinners with all cohort students during the year. Specialist content and vocational networking opportunities will also be included.

Cohort Leads bring with them both academic expertise and practical experience. Students will learn from experienced lecturers who are dynamic classroom teachers, passionate distance educators, world class scholars, and ministerial colleagues. They display high  personal integrity  exceptional levels of teaching, and provide a student-centred learning experience with an evangelical ethos, rigorous academic standards, and practical expertise.

The cohorts we will be offering are:

Bible Cohort – Lead, Rev Dr Mark Keown
Christian Thought and History Cohort – Leads, Dr Myk Habets & Dr Greg Liston
Pastoral Leadership Cohort – Leads, Dr Maja Whitaker & Rev Dr Clint Ussher
Youth Leadership Cohort  – Lead TBA
Missions Cohort – Lead, Rebecca de Jong

Laidlaw takes discipleship seriously, and we are excited about this new phase of delivering our exciting range of programmes. You can find out more about each of our cohorts and how to apply through our website. or for more information email [email protected]
