Events Administrator

The Role

We are looking for a proactive, relational and administratively savvy person to join our team in the role of Events Administrator. This role will primarily support the smooth running of our Centenary project and Celebration Weekend (14-15th April 2023). Reporting to our School Manager – Theology/Centenary Project Lead, this is a fixed term opportunity for 25 hours a week through to the end of April 2023. Ideally, the successful candidate will have flexibility to work additional hours as required at peak times. This role will be based at our Henderson campus.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role involve:

  • Working alongside the Centenary Coordinator, to support the Centenary Project Lead and the rest of the Centenary Project team
  • Assisting with project, event administration and coordination for the Centenary celebration weekend
  • Helping to coordinate staff and volunteers in the lead up and outworking of Centenary weekend
  • Supporting the School Coordinator and School Administration in the completion of general School of Theology Administration & Event tasks as required.
  • Communicating proactively and professionally with students and staff as required via email, Microsoft Teams, and phone

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experiences and skills:

  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Confident interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • An ability to be flexible and work outside regular work hours (such as when evening events are scheduled)
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team, show initiative and take responsibility
  • Demonstrable experience with information technology Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams
  • Event coordination/production and/or project coordination experience would be advantageous
