Christchurch 50th Celebration

BCNZ/Laidlaw in Ōtautahi Christchurch is turning 50 in 2025! All current and former staff, students, prayer partners, Board members and supporters are invited to celebrate with us on 12-13 September 2025.

Join us Friday evening as we gather in the Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre auditorium for canapés and drinks to reconnect and share stories from the last five decades. We’re excited to be welcoming back former Christchurch Deans, staff and students, and anticipate an evening of entertaining anecdotes, intertwined with stories of God’s faithfulness.

On Saturday we will be based at the current campus and look forward to thoughtful engagement with some contemporary topics led by current and former faculty and graduates. As well, there will be opportunity to catch up with former classmates and staff, to tour the current campus, and to hear what’s happening now and of plans for the future.

Come join us for a weekend of remembrance, celebration, stimulating conversations and gratitude for God’s faithfulness over 50 years!

As part of our Christchurch 50th Celebrations in 2025, we would love to hear, and share, the stories of our graduates. We want to record the memories – the funny, the sad, the transformative – and hear about your journey since your time at BCNZ or Laidlaw College.

How has God used you to serve him in the communities he has placed you – be it ever so humble or extraordinary?

You can choose to either fill in an online form and attach images. Or download a form to print and send it in to us or drop it off to one of our campuses. If you have any questions please email Jenny Mackie, our Alumni Coordinator - [email protected]
