Laidlaw at Level 4

Kia ora koutou, e Laidlaw whānau,

God promises in Philippians 4 that he is with us and gives us a posture with which to approach situations like COVID:

...The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (vs 5-7).

As a staff team we are praying for those families and communities who are directly affected by this outbreak, and also all those in government and on the ground who are working to contain and protect the unfolding situation. We are also praying for you – the students and community of Laidlaw – as you pursue the Gospel and your own particular callings through study and service.

In light of tonight’s Alert Level 4 announcement, classes from tomorrow (Wednesday) will be online until atleast Friday 27 August. If you have a class, please check your email or Moodle tomorrow morning for details. These classes will be recorded for those who have other commitments. Please, if you need, take the time to be with whānau and those in your bubble.

All Laidlaw campuses are closed under Level 4.

Laidlaw is well prepared to continue teaching and learning online, and also to continue our life together as a praying, worshipping and supportive community. Keep an eye on your email for further information about how to access support and services.

Our priority is people, so please take care of yourself and those around you tonight, and reach out for help if you need it.

May you know “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding”.
