Venture through the fascinating history of Christianity, from the early church through to current times. Learn about how the church has interacted with many different cultures, has faced countless challenges and dangers, has had many inspiring leaders, and has spread right around the globe. Learn about things like persecutions, creeds, heresies, monasticism, popes, Christendom, the Reformation, revivals, the modern missionary movement, the coming off the Gospel to Asia, Polynesian and Aotearoa, and new challenges to Christianity in the modern world.

SPEAKER DETAILS

Historian Rev. Dr Stuart Lange brings many years of experience teaching the history of Christianity at Laidlaw, and elsewhere, and teaches with wisdom, warmth, and wit. He did his PhD on the history of evangelicalism in NZ, is well published, made the documentary TeRongopai, and is a Senior Research Fellow at Laidlaw. He is also a senior pastor, and National Director of the New Zealand Christian Network.
