Coralie took up a role as a Research Fellow at Laidlaw College in 2024.
Originally trained as an Oncology Nurse, Coralie holds a Master of Theology from Laidlaw College. Her doctoral research focused on how complexly disabled people are supported in Salvation Army congregations throughout New Zealand.
Her research interests include practical theology, complex disability, and qualitative enquiry. With a lifelong involvement in The Salvation Army (TSA), she is also interested in Wesleyan theology and church engagement with people living on the margins of society.
Coralie is a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ and attends The Salvation Army in Mt Wellington. Nationally, she serves as a member of TSA’s “Moral and Social Issues Council” (MASIC). Internationally she is a member of TSA’s International Theological Council.
Three adult children and two grandsons keep her grounded in the joys of life together. She is a keen, if not expert, gardener and finds restoration drinking good coffee and walking the beaches of Auckland.
