Graduation Information


Completed forms must be received by the following dates:

  • All December 2019 graduations: 30 October 2019
  • All April 2019 graduations ceremonies: 28 February 2019
  • All April 2019 graduations (no ceremony): 28 February 2019

If you are attending the graduation ceremony then you are required to hire your own academic dress.

Please check that you have completed all the requirements of your qualification. If you have completed, or expect to complete, your qualification in the current semester, you need to check with your faculty that you have met the requirements for your particular programme.


Christchurch Graduation Ceremony

The Graduation ceremony for our Christchurch campus will be held on Friday 13 December 2019.

The Graduation ceremony for our Auckland campuses (Henderson and Manukau) will be held on 27 April 2019.

The Graduation ceremony for Booth College of Mission will be held on Friday 7 December 2018.

The Graduation ceremony for Bishopdale Theological College will be held in 29 March 2019.

What to wear to graduation (Academic Dress Hire)

Certificate graduands:

Formal dress is required (including a tie). An academic gown is NOT worn.

Diploma graduands:

A Diploma gown must be hired and worn over formal dress. Laidlaw College provides a hood. A mortar board is NOT worn.

Degree/GradDip graduands:

A Bachelor’s gown and mortar board (trencher) must be hired and worn over formal dress. Laidlaw College provides a hood. GradDip graduands are NOT required to wear the hood from their undergraduate degree.

Postgraduate graduands:

A Master’s gown and mortar board (trencher) must be hired and worn over formal dress. Laidlaw College provides a hood.
