Celebrating with our 2019 Auckland Graduates

Family, friends, and staff gathered last night at our Henderson campus to celebrate our 2019 Auckland Graduates. COVID restrictions saw our planned Graduation ceremony in Auckland cancelled twice this year. We didn’t want the year to pass without recognising those who would have crossed the stage at Graduation.

It was a special night as graduates and their families were welcomed back to campus. A panel of graduates from across Laidlaw’s programmes reflected on their journey to Laidlaw, shared their ‘aha’ moments during study, and brought a word of encouragement and thanks to those present. Faculty from Counselling, Education and Theology paid tribute to the graduates’ hard work and success in completing their qualifications. Speeches were followed with toasts to the graduates from each programme, and by waiata. The evening concluded with all gathered singing The Blessing Aotearoa to the graduates.

We hope to see this cohort again, as all are invited to cross the stage and be capped at our Auckland Graduation ceremony on 22 May 2021. And to be back in 2022 as alumni join in the College’s centenary celebrations!
