Australian College of Theology gains University Status

Laidlaw College are delighted to congratulate the Australian College of Theology (ACT) on gaining recognition as a University College by the Australian Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).

University College status is granted in Australia to institutions that meet a superior standard of teaching and scholarship in higher education, and the recognition is a testament to the quality of the research and programmes that ACT and its affiliated colleges offer.

“Being recognised as a University College is a strong endorsement of the quality of the ACT as a higher education provider in Australia”, says Dr Roshan Allpress, Laidlaw College National Principal.

Laidlaw College deeply values our long association with the ACT, and its consortium of colleges, that dates back to the early years of the Bible Institute movement in Australasia. As an affiliated college, our faculty greatly benefit from the collegiality of research within the consortium, and our students from pathways into specialised postgraduate study – especially in the Doctor of Theology (ThD) and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) programmes
