John is the property manager for Laidlaw College, based at the Henderson campus. 

John looks after the maintenance of the buildings and grounds and compliance requirements at the Henderson and Manukau campuses. He is hands-on and also organize contractors when needed. He is also a non official Dad-Number-Two for a number of students and help with their pastoral care needs.

John is a qualified joiner and cabinet maker and have developed many other skills and experience over his 30 years working at Laidlaw College and on his own houses.

He spends his down time with his family and friends, and working on his own house.
