Engage Breakfast - Henderson
with Malcolm Falloon

Join us as Malcolm Falloon facilitates a discussion on how the Gospel engaged Māori and the extraordinary response to Christianity that followed.

This year Laidlaw College celebrates its centennial. Since 1922, the Gospel has been at the forefront of the College's mission of training people who have been called to serve Christ in both Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas. This endeavour of training and equipping the saints for mission lives within a textured narrative of mission wedded to New Zealand’s unique past. Māori conversion, for example, was arguably one of the most dramatic events of the past two hundred years in Aotearoa’s history. Yet, somewhat surprisingly, it is an event few kiwi Christians know much about - and what they do know is often mediated through secular narratives that promote agendas very different to that of the Christian Gospel.
