Laidlaw Research Seminar - Darrell Bock
Between the Event and The Gospels: How Did That Work?

This lecture will look at the gap between the events of Jesus and the recording of the gospels. How did this work in an ancient oral culture? How can we be confident in the result? Why was it decades before gospels were written? We will consider oral culture, the role of eye witnesses and the nature of memory.
