Laidlaw College Christchurch is currently hosting a collaborative art exhibition interpreting the biblical stations of the cross. Visual artists from across our extended community have contributed works of art emerging from their own meditations on a station and its corresponding biblical text. These works are currently being displayed in the campus library and we welcome members of our extended Laidlaw community and the public to come and engage with the exhibit during opening hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).
The exhibition will be on display throughout the season of Lent. It was unveiled on Ash Wednesday. There is an accompanying booklet available to peruse whilst in the library which contains artist statements and biblical texts for each station.
