Carmia took on the role of Group Coordinator in the Counselling team in February 2021. In this role she supports and looks after all the process groups which are a component of the Bachelor of Counselling programme. She supports facilitators and students with all things group related. As a graduate of the Counselling degree herself, Carmia uses her knowledge to continuously look for new ways to improve and enhance the group experience for students and facilitators.  

Outside of Laidlaw, Carmia works as a contract counsellor. She enjoys time with family and friends and is a keen camper and outdoor explorer. She enjoys singing in her church band and playing piano in her spare time. She loves awakening her creative flare by cooking and baking and creating new dishes!
